Hi Lisa,
How has life been as a full-time artist you ask? Well, these past few months have been nothing short of wonderful. There is something so special about waking up every single day and doing what you love. My studio has been busy, my heart has been full and I feel more creatively alive than I have in years. I know how lucky I am, and I don't take a single day of it for granted. I'm so grateful to be where I am. Thank you for being part of this journey with me 🩷.
I hope your summer is off to a beautiful start too! I have some artsy updates to share and I wanted you to be the first to know. |

| Last week I had the most wonderful (and slightly exhausting!) experience of setting up over 50 paintings, both small and large, for my solo show at the Coast Victoria Hotel & Marina, which is in the James Bay area of Victoria. I've brought in a mix of mostly original oil and acrylic paintings, but sprinkled throughout are some gorgeous prints on canvas of some of my most favourite previously sold paintings 💛.
The painting on the left above is one of my most recent large-scale paintings - it's called "Solace" and is 30x48" oil on canvas.
So if you're in Victoria this month, I would absolutely love for you to wander through and have a look. Many of my paintings are hanging inside the Blue Crab Seafood House - an incredible restaurant right there in the hotel with stunning waterfront views and amazing food. If you're looking for a great lunch or dinner spot, it's sooooo worth a visit!

| I am truly honoured to share that I've been accepted into the Sooke Fine Art Show this year - the biggest art show on Vancouver Island!
The show runs July 25 - August 3 and I'll have my painting "A Quiet Moment" (36x24", shown above) on display. This piece means a lot to me and I'm so excited for it to be seen.
When you visit, be sure to wander through the gift shop - it's truly incredible! I'll have a few smaller paintings and a selection of my art cards available there - so if you've been thinking about treating yourself to a little piece of original art, this is a wonderful opportunity.
And extra exciting - I'll be doing TWO in-person demo sessions during the show, where I'll be set up to paint and show you my process!!! The live demo times are:

Thursday July 30, 3:00 - 5:00 pm

My next free online art class is happening on Wednesday July 29th at 11:00am PST. I alternate between either watercolour or acrylic demos - and this one will be a start-to-finish acrylic landscape demo. (See image below for a sampling of what we will paint, but it won't be exactly this.)
