That little voice saying "You're NOTÂ an artist" has been lying to you for decades!
What if you had a safe place to create without that voice winning? Where "messy" is celebrated, beginners belong - and you finally finish paintings you're proud of? Â
Introducing ...
Permission to Play Society
A creative membership where beginners & returning creatives get the support they need to complete paintings they love, without pressure, perfectionism or costly unused courses.
Let's Play, Create &Â Thrive - TOGETHER.
Â
Â
Â
 Ever feel like this?
âď¸Â You carve out time to create - then scroll for hours because you donât know what to make
âď¸Â You hear echoes of past voices - maybe a teacher or parent - who said "you're not artistic" (and you still believe them)
âď¸Â You think: "If I can't do it right, why bother?" ... So you don't start at all
âď¸ Â You buy the supplies or courses - but never use them
Â
But here is the most frustrating part:
You watch other people create freely on Instagram - posting their "messy" art, calling themselves artists without hesitation - and you think: "Why can't I just do that?"
You see beginners who started AFTER you ... and they're already filling sketchbooks while yours stays blank.
You're still stuck at the starting line.
Every single time you sit down with your supplies, that voice gets louder: "Who do you think you are?" "You're too old to start now.â
Â
So you stay stuck in the same exhausting loop:
â Buy supplies with genuine excitement  (This time will be different!)
â Feel completely paralyzed when it's time to use them  (What do I even make?)
â Scroll tutorials for "inspiration" Â (Just researching! I need to learn more first ...)
â Never actually create anything  (Maybe I'm not ready yet ...)
â Feel guilty every time you see those unused supplies  (I wasted money again.)
â Promise yourself "next week I'll start" Â (... And the cycle repeats ...)
Every abandoned sketchbook feels like proof.
Every unused canvas whispers "See? You can't do this."
Every year that passes makes it feel more foolish to even try.
BUT - there's another way to look at it ...
You don't lack talent.
You don't lack creativity.
You just lack the right support!
You really need 3 things you've never had before:
⨠Permission to be a beginner and make "bad" art
⨠Guidance that's gentle, doable, and designed for
people who freeze at blank pages
⨠A safe place where progress matters more than perfection
That's exactly what
Permission to Play Society gives you!
What if you could ...
âď¸ Â Sit down to create and actually know what to do next (no more fear of âruining the pageâ)
âď¸ Â Understand how to use all your art supplies
âď¸ Â Know how to mix the colours you want
âď¸ Â Finish a painting and feel genuine pride - not the urge to immediately criticize it
âď¸ Â Finally silence that voice that says "you're not a artistâ - because you ARE one, and you have the paintings to show itÂ
Within your first few weeks inside the Permission to Play Society, you will learn the skills, get creative confidence and get the community support you need - to start making art you love!Â
Finally become the creative you've always wanted to be đ
Â
âThereâs no such thing as creative people and non-creative people. There are only people who use their creativity and people who donâtâ

Meet Your Creativity CoachÂ
Hi, Iâm Lisa Riehl - artist, creativity coach and proud believer that itâs never too late to return to what lights you up đ
But for years, I wasnât creating anything.
Iâd loved drawing and painting as a kid, but life took over - university, a demanding career in medical sales, family responsibilities. My art got buried under laundry, emails and the nagging fear that maybe that part of me was gone for good.
But the spark never fully went out ...
After years of feeling disconnected, I started taking art classes again. Slowly at first - one here, one there. Watercolour, then acrylic landscapes, and eventually to the magic of gel plate printing. The more I created, the more ALIVE I felt. Not because I was making perfect art - but because I was finally making something again.
Piece by piece, I found my way back to a truer version of me - grounded, open-hearted, and willing to make messy, imperfect art.
Now I offer what I wish I'd had back then - without the years of second-guessing, the paralysis at blank pages, or the voice saying "you're not good enough." Clear guidance that meets you where you are. Doable prompts and a coach who believes in you, even when you don't. A community that celebrates messy progress. And permission to create messy or "bad" work and call yourself an artist anyway.Â
Permission to Play Society is MOREÂ than a membership
This is your creative home base where joy leads, perfectionism takes a back seat & your growth actually sticks. Iâve been where you are, so Iâve built this space to make complex techniques simple, to guide without pressure and to honour your pace and your path.
Inside, youâre not just learning art - youâre reclaiming your identity as a creative person. Youâll feel seen, safe and treasured as you explore, experiment and improve with guidance that meets you where you are.
This is the support, community and guidance you need to finally start creating. And remember - it's never too late to start!
Let's Play, Create &Â Thrive - Together.
